Supervision

Supervision – Our Therapists

Supervision is a required component of the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions for registered counsellors and psychotherapists, ensuring that your practice maintains high standards and continues to evolve throughout your working career. Supervision offers practitioners a safe and reflective space in which to develop your practice professionally and personally. This ensures all counsellors in practice are keeping their skills up to date, and that they work in a safe and ethical way. Supervision is there to protect both clients and counsellors, your supervisor will help to create a confidential space for you to explore, reflect and increase self-awareness.

Supervision is also there to ensure to counsellors well being and self care is put in place to help to avoid ‘burn out’. It is recommended as a guideline by the BACP, BASRT, BPC, COSCA and UKCP that professionals participate in 1.5hours per month for counsellors who are in full time practice.
