Therapist Biography

Anxiety, depression, overwhelm, low self-esteem, difficult relationships, insecurity, self-criticism, loneliness are all signs that something in our life is off-balance. As a therapist it’s my role to listen to your experiences, understand what’s at the root of your feelings and work together to find a way forward.

More often than not, the struggles we encounter as adults are grounded to some extent in our experiences growing-up. This doesn’t mean therapy is about digging into every corner of your childhood, but our sessions will seek to understand where experiences earlier in your life may be unintentionally getting in the way of you confidently moving forward. We will find ways for you to heal and soothe previous challenges and traumas, feel a sense of calm and self-assurance and develop positive coping strategies should life present challenges in the future.

I always come from a position of the upmost respect for my clients and I offer a safe space to explore emotions and feelings without judgement or bias. Our sessions will be tailored to what feels right for you in terms of focus, pace, depth and level of challenge.

I use a blend of approaches to inform our work together. These include:

  • Compassion focused therapy
  • Schema therapy
  • Attachment theory
  • Cognitive behavioural therapy

In addition to in-person sessions, I also offer online therapy.
