Mindfulness Plymouth
Find a Therapist Offering Sessions for Mindfulness in Plymouth.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness encourages clients to focus their attention on the present moment, in an impartial and relaxed environment. These sessions will be held out in a non-judgmental manner, creating a safe space for you to go through your own journey. Mindfulness can be practiced for 10 minutes or a full hour and beyond. Mindfulness encourages us to be in the here and now, to reduce tension. It also assists in our ability to be more mindful of our emotions and ourselves mentally and physically.
Many counsellors offer mindfulness at the beginning and end of counselling sessions to help a client to connect to their bodies and feelings, but also to feel grounded and safe to leave the counselling space. There are many forms of mindfulness, including meditation, breath work, yoga and Tai Chi. Mindfulness can help reduce stress, anxiety and sadness. Dragonfly Well-Being Centre is a new venture, so we will be adding more therapists offering sessions for Mindfulness in Plymouth in the near future.
